Nahid Newaz

Nahid joined Folio Partners as an Accountant in September 2026 after spending his career working in industry. He was drawn to the opportunity to experience practice, develop his career and work closely with a wider range of clients, bringing a perspective shaped by working within businesses. With a background in management accounting and financial planning, Nahid enjoys helping businesses understand their finances and make decisions that benefit them. He particularly likes making financial information clear and useful for people who don’t spend their day looking at spreadsheets, helping them understand what the numbers mean for their business.

His love of numbers goes back to school, where he always preferred numbers to words—although he’s made an exception for this bio!

Outside work, Nahid loves playing football and is a dedicated Arsenal supporter, which his colleagues will probably hear plenty about. He also enjoys travelling and spending time with his British Shorthair cat, Yoki, who is considerably less interested in accounting and far more interested in when dinner will be served.
